Coming soon: The Next Chapter with Shelagh Rogers talking about Shannen and Aboriginal education. The show airs on CBC Radio One Mondays at 1:00pm and Saturdays at 4:00 p.m.
_The presentation at the Native Canadian Centre to schools featured a PowerPoint
presentation with guest speakers Chelsea Edwards, Chris Kataquapit,
Jonah Sutherland, and Carinna Pellett. Andrew Cash sang Diamonds in the
Snow, a song written by Charlie Angus about Shannen Koostachin and the
children of James Bay. Thank-you to students from the First Nations
School who sang and drummed. Michele beautifully performed Fancy Shawl
dancing. Thanks to the Centre for their support. Fifty books on their behalf were sent to J. R. Nakogee School in Attawapiskat
